Hydrogen Flashback arrestor. Commercial quality Oxy – Hydrogen Flashback Arrestor. Thick vacuum sintered internal porous metal shield in conjunction with a high quality check valve. Rated at 116 liters per minute, or 7000 liters per hour. Maximum working pressure for Hydrogen Flashback arrestor is 140 psi (10 bar). All brass heavy duty housing. Fits 1/4 ID hose. Minimum operating pressure: 3 psi. The check valve does produce minimal back pressure, about 2 psi.
The biggest safety concern when using hydrogen flashback arrestors is the chance of exceeding the volume rating of the arrestor. Many flashback arrestors are only rated at 10 liters per minute. If you exceed that volume, and a flashback occurs, these low volume arrestors may not stop the flashback.
