FITTING THE METAL GAS FITTINGS TO THE CELLS February 27 2023

We have now Introduced stainless steel / metal fittings for our Hydrogen fuel systems to make them more robust and compact. These fittings are shown below. These fittings can be joined together using 10 mm O/D HDPE plastic Pipe ( as shown ) or using 8 mm diameter copper pipe of stainless pipe. The installation steps using HDPE pipe is shown below . This procedure is fast to assemble and is very secure, producing an air tight and electrolyte leak-proof seal

Elbow and Tee fittings

Drill the holes into the top of the plastic box fittings so that the holes are perfectly lined up

Screw the fittings into the holes using thread sealant

Measure the length of blue piping exactly to fit between the two connectors and push the pipe into the two ends of the middle fitting
Place the two screw in caps onto each of the plastic tubings
Screw end caps onto each side the middle fittings
Angle the end fittings to fit into the ends of the plastic pipes.

Turn the middle and end fittings back to be in line – forcing the plastic pipe onto the middle and end connectors

Screw the end caps into each of the end and middle fittings to lock in and secure the pipe to the connectors.

It may be necessary to use a file to make a recess in the aluminum L section directly under the End Tee fitting so that the end cap , so that it can be screwed in. This depends upon the thickness . gauge of aluminum used

This grinding should be completed before the first stage of Picture 1.
