Addition of HHO to Gasoline as an Engine Performance Improver

ABSTRACT:    The purpose of this work is to fabricate a simple innovative HHO generation system through the process of water electrolysis and evaluate the effect of hydroxyl gas HHO addition to petrol, used as fuel in 4-stroke engine. HHO cell is optimized for maximum HHO gas productivity per input power. The type of catalyst is varied with potassium hydroxide as the optimized system. The results showed that the maximum productivity of the cell was 68 L/h HHO gas when 6 g/L of KOH is used.

The results also showed 55% in the gasoline engine thermal efficiency.

These tests / report were performed using an inefficient Neutral plate system  and yet  it still showed significant improvements in fuel efficiency using a Small 4 stroke Petrol engine.  It can clearly be seen the very low output of the Neutral plate hydrogen generator of 550 ml per minute , and that this produces savings on a small motor. 

In comparison the patented Hydrogen Generator designed and Produced by   hydrogen fuel systems pty ltd. Has been shown to Produce a much greater volume of Hydrogen gas for a simular voltage and current  – far in excess of 3.6 litres per minute .

The Savings of 32 % for trucks and 42% for cars is documented in the extensive tests performed by our international partners , using a Gen 10 Hydrogen system and a Gen 15 Hydrogen system
